Forgotten Nutrient for Your Heart

 

Besides good fats and whole grains, your hearts needs *magnesium to stay strong; the mineral builds healthy muscles and nerves. Among 7,000 men studied in the Honolulu Heart Program, those with the highest *magnesium intake (about 400 mg per day, the recommended level for men and women) had a 45% lower risk of heart disease than did those with the least (50 mg).
