Power Your Brain

Another study has concluded what many previous ones have shown: B vitamins (like those found in our PC Nutrition Power Energy) serve to maintain healthy brain function! They have also suggested that low levels of these nutrients may lead to a more rapid deterioration of cognitive function.

The latest news regarding cognitive function and its relationship to B vitamins is regarding a two year study that focused on folic acid and B12 supplementation (vs a placebo). The B vitamins supplements won… beat the placebo hands down.

The authors of the study concluded: “Long-term supplementation of daily oral 400 mcg of folic acid and 100 mcg of vitamin B12 promotes improvement in cognitive functioning after 24 months, particularly in immediate and delayed memory performance.”
